*note: The Quaternary and Tertiary Periods may be subdivided into different epochs. Some sites have divided up the Cenozoic Era into the Neogene and the Paleogene Periods. Make sure you mention the different time lengths if you choose one of these periods.

Explore the different periods and choose the one that seems most interesting to you. Start jotting down some notes on the Project Worksheet 1.

Remember to choose a PERIOD, not an era, eon, or epoch.
